    All PlayStation 4 Error Codes + Solutions

    This is a compiled list of PlayStation 4 error codes I have found on the internet with their solutions. If a solution does not work for you please let me know or if I have missed an error code.



    Exceptions (E-XXXXXXXX)


    E-8200002E (Invalid Credit Card on File)

    Delete the stored credit card linked to your account and re-enter it.


    E-82000113 (Voucher Code Unable to be Redeemed)

    Restart your console and try again in a couple of minutes.


    E-82000102 (Unable to add funds to Sub Account)

    You need to add the funds to the Sub Account via the Master Account.


    E-82000138 (Maximum Wallet Fund Limit Reached)

    You cannot have more than $150 in your wallet.


    E-82000133 (Voucher Code is Expired)

    The code you are entering has expired or is unavailable at the time.


    E-80558337 (Content Cannot be Recognized)

    Re-download your content.



    PlayStation Network (NP-XXXXX-X)


    NP-31952-0 (Network Connection has Timed Out)

    Your connection to the PlayStation Network isn't strong enough or is unstable. Try moving your console closer to the router or restarting your internet.


    NP-31739-3 (Update File Download in Progress)

    Wait for the update to finish installing before starting the application.


    NP-31730-4 (Signed Out of the PlayStation Network)

    Simply sign back in to the PSN.


    NP-32062-3 (Possible Corrupted Data)

    Restart your console or initialize it.


    NP-35000-8 (PlayStation Network Under Maintenance)

    You'll have to wait until the maintenance is completed.



    Software Update (SU-XXXXX-X)


    SU-35931-1 (System Update Data Corrupted)

    Restart your console and download the update again. If that does not work you can try updating your console via USB.


    SU-30696-4 (Failed to Update System Software)

    Restart your console and download the update again. If that does not work you can try updating your console via USB.


    SU-30746-0 (Couldn't Find System Update Data)

    Restart your console and download the update again. If you are updating via USB make sure you have placed the update file in the correct folder.



    Web Security (WS-XXXXX-X)


    WS-36812-0 (Unable to Join Party)

    Have your friend send you another party invite. If that does not work then restart your console and try joining another invite.


    WS-37337-3, WS-37368-7, WS-37338-4 (Account Banned or Suspended)

    You are a naughty person and have been terminated from accessing the PlayStation Network. You naughty, naughty gamer.


    WS-36782-6 (Unable to Send Friend Request)

    The individual you are attempting to add has reached the maximum amount of friends allowed. They have more friends than you. Try politely asking them to remove one of their inactive friends.


    WS-37501-6 (PlayStation Network Server Error / Maintenance)

    Check the status of the PlayStation Network and see if it is currently undegoing any maintenance. The following error codes relate to this issue as well:

    • WS-37504-9
    • WS-37432-9
    • WS-36856-8
    • WS-36855-7



    Network (NW-XXXXX-X)


    The following Netwrok error codes all have the same solution:


    • NW-31201-7 (Could Not Connect to the Network)
    • NW-31374-8 (The Connection has Timed Out)
    • NW-31253-4 (DNS Server Response Delayed)
    • NW-31250-1 (Network Connection to PlayStation Network Weak)
    • NW-31247-7 (Network Connection Timed Out)
    • NW-31294-9 (Wireless Connection has Timed Out)
    • NW-31246-6 (Invalid DNS Settings)
    • NW-31456-9 (Connection Error)
    • NW-31453-6 (Server Response is Delayed)
    • NW-31194-8 (Unable to Connect to Network)

    To fix these issues be sure to first check the status of the PlayStation Network. If it is not down or under maintenance then try testing your connection and checking your DNS settings.



    Common Error (CE-XXXXX-X)


    CE-33987-0 (Internet Connection Test Error)

    Navigate to Settings -> Network -> Test Internet Connection. If your problem still persists after testing try resetting your router. If it still doesn't fix it, try updating your router's firmware.


    CE-30774-1 (Cannot Update System Software)

    This problem only happens when updating the console's firmware via USB. Make sure that the update file is in the correct folder and that your storage device is formatted to either FAT or exFAT.


    CE-35287-5 (Cannot Connect to Server)

    PlayStation Network or the game server might be down. Check the status of the PSN or the status of your game's servers.


    CE-33945-4 (Server Connection Failed)

    PlayStation Network or the game server might be down. Check the status of the PSN or the status of your game's servers. If the problem is still persisting try resetting your router or updating its firmware.


    CE-34861-2 (Connection has Failed)

    PlayStation Network or the game server might be down. You can also try to verify the availability of the SSL in your internet connection.


    CE-34632-8 (Content Currently Unavailable)

    Try accessing the content at a different time.


    CE-35486-6 (Disc Read Error)

    Your console is unable to read the inserted disc. The first thing to do is eject the disc and see if the bottom is clean, if not then clean it! If it is clean make sure the disc is a supported format by the console.


    CE-35489-9 (Disc Region Not Supported)

    The disc must have the proper region code for the console tor read it.


    CE-34335-8 (HDD Not Detected)

    Your console is not recognizing your hard drive. Restart your system and see if it fixes the problem. If not, then remove the hard drive and clean it of any dust and then insert it carefully back in to the console.


    CE-35406-8 (Unable to Link PS Vita to PlayStation 4)

    Make sure that both accounts are the same before linking your Vita to your PS4.


    CE-34878-0 (Application Error)

    Close the application, check for any updates, check for any system software updates and then restart your console.


    CE-36244-9 (Download has been Suspended)

    Restart your PS4 and then restart the download. Sometimes this is due to you not having static IP address.


    CE-33676-5 (item Corrupted)

    Try re-downloading the content. If that still does not fix it then navigate to Settings -> PSN -> Restore Licenses and see if that works.



    Web Viewing (WV-XXXXX-X)


    WV-33899-2, WV-33907-2, WV-36450-7 (PlayStation Network / Server Failure)

    Test your internet connection and then check the status of the PlayStation Network. You may have to wait this one out.


    WV-33898-1 (Unable to Display Webpage in Browser)

    Check to make sure that the URL of the link is correct, if not then relaunch the browser. Sometimes certain web pages cannot be viewed on the PlayStation 4.


    WV-33917-3 (Too Many Redirects)

    The PlayStation 4 does not support that type of web content.

    Yeah, I'm just hoping that I got the solutions right. I looked all over the web to find the best solutions and most of them came up to be pretty much the same... so yeah lol.
