This thread is all about sharing the little things that made our childhood special. Whether it’s TV shows, books, movies etc. let’s celebrate the innocence & joy of being a kid.

I'll start it off with my favorite show as a kid. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

DBGT, for sure. My father used to record the episodes on tons of cassette tape for me because it would air on television past my bedtime, at 9 pm. Those are the strongest memories I have of him.

Although I was too young to remember, I also want to share the first movie I've ever saw, at least on cinema.
Miyazaki's Spirited Away, or The Travel of Chihiro (how it was translated in my country). This movie is just perfectly beautiful, I love it.

I remember watch Disney shows on premium version of The Disney Channel (1983-1997) and their shows were Mickey's Mouse Tracks, Donald's Quack Attack, Dumbo's Circus, Adventures in Wonderland, Mousercise, Under the Umbrella Tree, Fraggle Rock, The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show, Care Bears, Zorro, Mouseterpiece Theater, animated Disney shows and Disney movies.

Cable TV was struggle in 1980s but much improved and more profitable in 1990s, so you have to buy The Disney Channel separately or part as bundle with HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, The Movie Channel, Encore, Bravo, etc. That mostly ended when Disney Channel transitioned from premium to hybrid premium-basic from 1997 to 2002 and completely basic after 2002, right after discontinuation of Vault Disney block.

The Disney Channel was great in 1995 but in 2025, not anymore.
