Some believe there is an after life. Other believe it's void and our brain just shuts off.
How about this, new life+? If this place really was designed well, I think it would restart like a computer would. There is this thing called "max byte integer overflow". Once the universe maxes out on it's life, it'll go back to the starting place. It'll be a new life all over again. We won't feel the affect off 1.7×10^106 years or so, because when we die, we aren't bound by time. Maybe this is why "deja vu" is a thing, our experiences imprint on the fabric of space-time. AND what if we could retain our previous memories? I'd imagine there would be some constants; who's born into the world.
