Choosing never to smoke I think has more health benefits. Because in small amounts alcohol acts as a neural stimulant.

As an ex-smoker I feel I can still answer this and my answer is the choice I made: I'd never smoke. Best thing I ever did was quit.

I also don't drink (regularly at least), but that's not for any particular reason. I'll have a beer once in a blue moon, though.
