corrupted saves

happenend to me as well, pretty often lately you can add
SHADOW WARRIOR 2 US/EU to the list. (profile save gets corrupted after resign on PS5)

although frankiep2003 method worked to fix this!
So it might work for some other games than South Park as well ;)

I was trying to use a resigned save file (ManualSave0), but when I copied it from my USB to the PS5, it showed up as "Corrupted".

Here’s what worked:
  • I already had my own South Park save on the PS5 using the same slot (ManualSave0).
  • When I tried copying my save from the PS5 to the USB, it asked if I wanted to overwrite the existing save.
  • I pressed Cancel instead of overwriting.
  • After that, I checked the USB again, and the resigned save was there.
  • Somehow, after doing this, I was able to use the resigned save without it showing as corrupted.

No PS4 needed — at least for South Park.
This method works, but weirdly it duplicates the file on the USB. Something really odd going on since FW11.0 but this is a great work around. (I used it on a different game, not SP).
Edit, made a tutorial using frankie's method here.

I can get Like A Dragon Ishin working, I am using PS5 without PS4/PS+/sw reregion method , not sure about other games, but guess can try use my method below, it may work

To me, this makes no sense whatsoever. It's not a clear explanation at all, and from what I do understand it sounds exactly like the reregion method.

Is this just baiting credits?

Two people have already confirmed that my method works — but sure, feel free to doubt it. Maybe my explanation wasn’t perfect; English isn’t my first language.

I don’t need to bait for credits. I’ve got more than enough sitting in my bank.

Also, make sure your USB drive is formatted to exFAT.

I just tested this on Final Fantasy X HD Remaster - It's not a Slot mismatch issue. It's A Hardware / Console ID Lock, I can resign a save from my other psn (created on the same console PS5 Pro) and it works fine, But if I resign a Save from this forum made on a different console, my ps5 pro flags it as corrupted and won't even let me copy it from the usb to the console.

So the console is scanning the raw save data for a console / hardware ID and rejecting the save if it was created on a different console.

I used advanced mode and imported the save in to 1 of my own recipient saves (and matched slot numbers). Save Wizard standard Import method also produces a corrupted save, so the console has to be scanning the raw save data for the ID / Key

I did mention that not all games work with my method, but at least the LAD games are working fine on my end.

This issue can usually be fixed by:
  1. Matching the slot number
  2. Making sure the USB drive is formatted to exFAT
With the method above, I haven’t encountered any resigning issues since then.
Anyway, to each their own—this will be my last comment on this thread.
Good luck, everyone.
