The save starts off in the beginning of the game. If you’re worried about trophies, I suggest starting a save and playing the first couple of minutes until you get the “A Place To Lay Your Head” (Reach The First Inn) trophy. Then you can load this save up.

• Max Mastery Points
• Max Candles Of Hope
(For Relics & Baubles, The current stacks are maxed and will build further stacks)

Save Wizard will not resign or re-region modified saves. You can use the Save Bots in GAMER’S PARADISE or PS SAVE BOTS to resign & re-region saves. I release all my mods and updates through GAMER’S PARADISE first. You can find more of my saves here.

Yeah I’m sure I could figure it out eventually using a hex editor or SW advanced mode. But it’s just not prevalent enough of a game for me to mess with it that much.

Save works for everything, but the Candles of Hope are not at max. I remember that being an issue with the Save Wizard cheats too. I think you have to have everything unlocked at the Altar of Hope and then save there for it to work.

Yeah that’s where I did it at. What were they at when you looked. It was 999’d when I pulled the save. When I get a chance I’ll load it back up and check it out.

Unfortunately, that's just how the game works. Because it has rogue-like elements, everything is reset at the start of each run. You don't get to keep skill boots, items, money, etc.
So, you are not doing anything wrong, the game just doesn't play nicely with cheats.
