Tutorial - How to Fix Corrupted Data on PS5 of PS4 saves via USB

Hi all,

I've been having quite a few issues with corrupted saves on my PS5 when transferring PS4 game save data across on USB.
I explored this thread and saw a great workaround by frankiep2003 so decided to make a youtube tutorial explaining how to fix this issue.

you sir, are an absolute legend. Was having this issue with Deponias 1001 jackalopes save. the main file always showed as corrupted, this video worked like an absolute charm.

When I go to copy on to usb it doesnt say overwrite it just starts copying across. Any help would be appreciated

Hi mate,
I believe I should have mentioned it in the video but you'll need an existing save of the same slot (naming convention) for this to work. Ie. if the save you're importing is in save slot 9 for instance on a game you'll need to have a save slot 9 file already existing on your PS. Most games don't really have this problem as they only have one save file option. Others, such as Bioshock from my memory, can be far more tedious to use this trick as save files have a individual naming system.
