Look up "Ash of War: Hoarfrost Stomp." Take a few minutes to go grab it, it's literally just a quick pick up, and come back. Easily cheeses boss fights including this one.

Yeah, the Araments one is no longer working with the patch. I even went to get the Sword of Night and Flame since you said you didn't have it. Still didn't pop.
