Tried this today... worked perfect. Turn off your internet connection... load the save from your usb to the system... load up the game. You have to continue the game save. when it loads the trophies will start to pop.

I concur. Worked great for Platinum! Will this save pop the Pathogen trophies as well? (I haven't yet purchased it...)
