PS4 PS5 Are remakes/remasters starting to get overdone?

Seeing so much of these now, and its like its all people want. Everyday I see somewhere someone wishing for a remake/remaster of something. Though I say this as I do also want a remake of as few games, but salty they not getting it.

Also how do you feel with remakes/masters when the devs take liberties and changes up the stories/game?

I don't think they are being over done, I feel like some of them are rushed and don't add anything new but a new coat of paint
