Are the boundaries starting to disappear?

Recently, many PC games have been ported to the PS5 and Switch, allowing a wider range of users to enjoy fantastic indie games and more. In that regard, I think it's something to be thankful for! Personally, I have purchased about 700 Switch games, many of which overlap with their PC versions ( ´ ▽ ` ).

There can still be a place for Exclusives, but at best short term or time-limited.... Back in the earlier years you could go with the whole "Competition helps with creativity" but that has become less noticeable for the big "AA" or "AAA" market and most creativity can be found in the Indie space.

Hard boundaries, like console exclusives, will disappear and all games will eventually be available on any platform.
Soft boundaries will be reinforced where content will be split across account specific subscription services.

Should have never been boundaries in the first place. Exclusives were quite annoying. I know I wasn't paying for a whole system just to play 2 games.
No doubt about it... I believe exclusive titles should disappear. Game companies might make a profit, but having more people play their games will help the companies be remembered, and ultimately generate greater profits.

I think this is a very good flow (^^)

I feel more of a wall in some ways with the PS5, if anything. The lack of editing/modding on the PS5 unlike every previous PS in existence is really making me feel it may be my last console generation after 30 years of gaming...
