PS5 Best SSD for PS5?

I really need more storage after getting the ps5 this year. Any rec's that have worked for you guys?

My Recommendation​

• If you want top speed (load times matter): Go for Samsung 990 Pro or WD SN850X.
• If you want “plug-and-play” without worrying too much: Use the WD SN850P (PS5 licensed).
• If storage space is your priority: A 2 TB+ SSD like the Seagate Game Drive or a 4 TB Crucial T500 is ideal.
• If you're on a tighter budget (for a high-speed Gen-4 SSD): Lexar NM790 or Kingston FURY Renegade are solid.

I had a WD_BLACK SN850X in my base PS5 and then put a Corsair MP600 Elite M.2 in my PS5 Pro. The only reason I bought the Corsair is because when I tried to swap in the WD SN850X, the Pro simply would not read it for some reason.

I think anything should work fine just get one with heatsink and 5000MB minimum speed.

I've been using WD SN850P for a while, but I think the prices have gone up in the last few months

Im usin a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB and its very good. Downside is a required firmware update to fix a pretty substantial bug.

i sticked with the WD SN850P as recommended. Worked without any hassle, and many youtube videos available in case this is all new for you. But thought it was still rather expensive at 200€.

Go storage over speed speed wise probably anything will do fine and you wont feel any big differences
