Putting together a quick roadmap for anyone starting their Platinum run on Dying Light (base game, not counting DLC).
Difficulty: Fairly easy-to-medium platinum. No missable trophies as long as you're careful with story choices, and nothing is difficulty-locked — you can play on any setting.
General order I'd suggest:
Estimated time to Platinum: ~25-35 hours if you're not rushing, less if you know the game.
Anyone else working on this one right now? Happy to compare notes on the choice-based trophies or the Legend grind.
Difficulty: Fairly easy-to-medium platinum. No missable trophies as long as you're careful with story choices, and nothing is difficulty-locked — you can play on any setting.
General order I'd suggest:
- Story first, side content as you go — a good chunk of trophies (skill tree completions, quarantine zones, etc.) come naturally if you explore instead of rushing the main campaign.
- Skill trees — there are three (Power, Agility, Survivor). Prioritize Agility early for movement/parkour, since it makes farming everything else faster.
- Story choice trophies — a couple of trophies depend on choices late in the story (there's one tied to a decision near the end involving a character named Jade). If you want both outcomes, you'll need two playthroughs or a save backup before the choice point.
- Grappling Hook / Legend Levels — some trophies are tied to reaching certain Legend ranks post-campaign, which requires grinding XP after finishing the story — budget time for this at the end.
- Co-op trophies — a few are much faster done with a second player (they're doable solo too, just slower).
