My Name is KingOfPawns, just introducing myself... im an avid gamer since NES days and retro video game collector... ive been recently been platt-ing games and its been fun.... however one single tag mission in ninja gaiden black 2 on ps5 has been the bane of my existence. its not a skill issue its pure RNG i have completed the game on master ninja on both story and chapter select... i have completed all the other content the game has except that one mission and ive spent 12 hours a day for a week straight playing that mission... im done.. since the boss can auto dodge and block any attack its down to luck and patience, except i have a dumb ai teammate who blows through all her health meaning when i kill this boss and have to fight the final 5th boss im in no condition to win.... i have the master collection on ps4 and plan to get a save to upload to ps5 to get my trophy. since the game is cheating me im going to cheat the game.
I don’t blame you at all. There’s a big difference between a challenge that tests your skill and one that comes down to RNG and an AI partner sabotaging the run. If you’ve already beaten Master Ninja on the story, chapter select, and every other piece of content, you’ve clearly proven you can play the game.
After putting in 12 hours a day for a week on one mission, I’d say you’ve earned the trophy. If using your PS4 save to finish it on PS5 lets you move on and actually enjoy the game again, go for it. Games are supposed to be fun, not make you bang your head against one poorly designed mission forever. Congrats on everything you’ve accomplished so far, and I hope you finally get that platinum.
