Yes, the game has 2 difficulties

1. Story
2. Standard

The God Mode is in Standard Difficulty with settings of Story

i got the u.s version(CUSA50688) and it worked. i think even the jpn version is CUSA50688

I guess too, someone did mention that the game only has 1 version for all the region.

No need to change the region.

Simply resign it your profile and use. If you still face difficulty please upload a video of the process so i can understand what is going on.
