Sorry for the late reply. Not that I know of in-game.
I got knocked out by guards so many times while looting and lost crowns.
I reloaded so many times when it happened that eventually it just bugs out and guards stop stealing crowns.

If you're comfortable with advanced mode, then it should be simple to edit.
Just search for the exact number of crowns you have and then edit it to whatever number you want.
