What got you into modding and what have you learned from your experiences?

I first got into modding back in the PS3 days (2012), when I discovered how much freedom there was once you stepped outside the stock limitations. What started as simple curiosity—wondering how people were changing games, menus, and systems—turned into hours of digging through files, testing tools, and eventually learning the fundamentals of how consoles actually work under the hood.

From PS3 modding I moved into the Xbox side, where working with RGH opened up a whole new level of hands-on understanding. Learning how to read NANDs, flash chips, install chips, fix bad boots, and troubleshoot issues taught me real patience and problem-solving. Every broken console or bad flash was just another lesson.

Through all of this, I ended up diving deeper into reverse engineering and coding. Messing with EBOOTs, GSC, mod menus, memory editing, offsets—those experiences taught me how to think logically, break things down, and understand systems instead of just following tutorials.

Modding basically became my gateway into programming, patching, game logic, and how software interacts with hardware. It taught me to experiment without fear, learn from mistakes, and always try to understand why something works—not just how to do it.

I learned that it takes trial and error and even doing everything right you can still run into problems most commonly is your game crashing I understand people do this to enjoy the game more and I'm glad for that they even allow modding on Xbox and Playstation for certain games within certain limitations
