Wonder Boy Collection

Some Saves​

The initial plan was actually fulfilled. This is now an end games save for all four games. Two - Wonder Boy in Monster Land and Monster World IV - have complete save sets included. The other two (especially Wonder Boy) are easy enough with rewind and saves.

Anyway, here is what you can unlock with this save (all saves have been tested on an alt account and are working as described):

Wonder Boy

The save is at the very end, after defeating the final boss. Just go up the "elevator" to finish the game. Once you are back at the start screen add credits with the L3 button and start a new game with Start. The trophy Arcade Master will pop then. I don't know if this is a bug or intended but yes, you must start a new game.

Important: Upon loading the save, two more trophies will pop: Dollhouse and Highscore Fanatic, so you might want to get those first if you care for legitimate timestamps

Wonder Boy in Monster World

Again, the save is after defeating the infuriating final boss. DO NOT skip the credits, just fast forward them with R2. The trophy will pop during the cutscene after that. If you press START during the credits, you will skip the entire sequence, thus missing the trophy.

Wonder Boy in Monster Land

The final update includes full save set for the game.

Save 1: Load the save and the trophy It should be easy by now! will pop at the results screen.
Save 2: Load the save and the trophy Keep rocking! will pop at the results screen.
Save 3: Load the save and the trophy Insert just a few more coins will pop at the results screen.
Save 4: Load the save and the trophy So. Close. will pop at the results screen.
Save 5: Load the save and the trophy Cleaner of the Monster Land will pop after the dialog windows.

Monster World IV

The saves are in the order you can unlock the trophies.
Save 1: Enter the building for Shhhh!
Save 2: Go one screen to the left to unlock Pepe Gardener
Save 3: Enter the Earth Gate for Going Deeper
Save 4: Load the save and wait a few seconds the next level to start and Fly High will pop
Save 5: Enter the door to face the final boss and Why do all good things come to an end? will unlock

To see this hidden content, you must react with one of the following reactions : Like Like, Love Love
PS: Do not confuse this game with Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection which has a different trophy list and CUSA code (not to mention , more games in it :D)

One final update - complete save set for Wonder Boy in Monster Land has been included. I started a new game and followed a video step by step to make sure to get all the best equipment and... that made a huge difference. Finished it on the first try.

Hi, both Wonder Boy and Wonder Boy in Monster World are end game saves, meaning that you will get the trophy for finishing the game. All four were supposed to be that way but the other two were just too annoying and I did full save sets. But Wonder Boy in Monster World is easy enough and the game is about 30 minutes so you can get the boss trophies with ease (and utilising saves a lot).
