Yeah, I started save sharing during PS2 era in early 2000s, later with GBA, GameCube, DS, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS, Wii U, PS4 and Switch. I fondly remember save sharing on Xbox 360 and it was fun to do it.
Xbox 360 and PS3 were first one to have save tied to profile that require the resigner, and PS4 continue with resigner. Switch saves are encrypted but not tied to profile, so they only need software like JKSV or Checkpoint to decrypt the save - that require hacked Switch, so that wouldn't be possible if it wasn't hacked.
Several years ago, I expressed fear that Sony could take USB save transfer away from PS4 but they didn't, so they just changed the encryption in every firmware update and Save Wizard has to update to support latest encryption - basically cat and mouse.
