I am a little confused about your comment regarding overwriting progress. My most recent progress on my personal account was newer than the save, yet I had no issue getting the save from 3/12/22 to stick. Is this not typical behavior? Did I get lucky? lol

Its actually pretty easy to get this trophy. I just went into a rivals game solo, Summoned 2 or 3 shades then completed the level.

How exactly do you enter a rivals game solo...?

When you are selecting your level just turn matchmaking off. Hope that helps.
